The album features contributions from UK jazz legend Nubya Garcia and production credits from the likes of Wyn Bennett and Karma Kid.
There’s “Demons”, a gospel-infused number about mental health, and “Mothers Sisters Girlfriends”, which highlights the pressures faced by women to live up to societal norms; “London’s Burning” tackles the impact and importance of immigration on British culture, while single “Playgod” is a soulful testament to the power of women. With bold and thought-provoking lyrics, Ajudha’s heartfelt cantor is a powerful rallying cry in an era of global unrest.
